Physical Activity Counseling and Exercise Prescription in Health Care

What if there was one prescription that could prevent and treat dozens of diseases? Join us on Friday, September 29, 2017 and learn about how exercise is a vital sign (EVS) that can be monitored with the majority of patients seen in primary care today. During this workshop you will learn about the evidence for exercise as medicine in primary care, how to efficiently integrate the EVS into daily practice, and to provide exercise counseling and prescription for your patients to prevent, manage and treat chronic disease.

This workshop is open to all health care professionals and students enrolled in health and exercise sciences. This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to network during breakfast and increase their knowledge about the evidence for exercise as medicine in primary care.
