Mumps is back and it’s not just a kid’s disease!

Mumps is back and it’s not just a kid’s disease!Mumps is back and it’s not just a kid’s disease! People born between 1970 and 1991 should get their free mumps catch-up vaccine.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) recommends that everyone born between 1970 and 1991 receive a second dose of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine if they have not already had two doses of this vaccine. Individuals in this age group have been vaccinated only once against mumps as young children.

The MMR vaccine is available at your health care provider or by appointment at the Sudbury & District Health Unit. Call (705) 522-9200 or 1-866-522-9200 toll free.
